Note! Moore-O-Matic is in fact Linear, showing all compatible items

The Linear Company was founded in 1961. Its original business plan was to sell and install garage door openers for residential use. It was planned, however, to quickly expand to manufacturing. Soon after its conception, Linear began manufacturing electronic components and wireless radio controls.

Linear continued to develop its place in the garage door opener market over the next years. In 1979, it purchased the A.E. Moore Company, which manufactured garage door openers; the company was re-named Moore-O-Matic. Linear used the resources and connections from Moore-O-Matic to better establish its place in the garage door opener market.

In the late 1990s Linear sold the Moore-O-Matic division and bought Multi-Code, a radio and remote supplier. This move solidified it in the garage door remote and opener market. Today, Linear continues to produce high quality garage door remotes that use dip switches making them compatible with a number of different receivers.
